Seniors Captain Match Reports 2025
Vs Hertfordshire - Our first league match of the season was played against Herts at East Herts GC. It was a beautiful day and the course was in great condition, but unfortunately Herts got the better of us, winning 4.5 - 2.5. The team was (L to R); Catherine Smith, Janette Psyllides, Sue Holdship, Sue Adams, Julia Gallagher, Kadda Mohamed and Katie Reid
Vs Hampshire - Our second match of the season was always going to be a tough day at the office. For various reasons most of our strong players were not available (partly because the match was the day before the County Champs), and due to last minute logistics we were only able to field a team of 5, so 2 ties were automatic W/Os. Unfortunatley Hampshire were too strong for us, and we all went down - so it was a 7-0 win for the hosts. Alresford GC was a lovely venue, and despite losing we enjoyed our day. The team was (L to R): Fiona Moore, Gill Outram, Heather Pentney, Sue Adams and Fiona LLewllyn.
Vs Oxfordshire - This was our first home match of the season and was played at Lambourne. The course was in great condition, and we were able to field a strong team. Having enjoyed weeks of dry weather we were treated to one or two downpours but we were all glad we played. Unfortunately, in spite of home advanctage we lost narrowly 4-3. I forgot to take a photo but the team was Katie Reid, Carole Weir, Denise Goodacre, Sue Adams, Kadda Mohamed, Amy Watters and Susanna Mitterer.
