2026 President's Summer Meeting

To be held at Woburn GC (Dukes Course) on Tuesday, 4 th August 2026.

A 3-Ball Team Alliance with 2 scores to count open to all players with a WHS Handicap Index. Teams need not be members of the same club.

2025 Captain's Summer Meeting

On 24th July, 64 ladies from 10 Clubs met at Denham GC for the County Captain’s Summer Meeting.

The sign-in area was a buzz of noise as ladies met up with old friends, bought raffle tickets and headed-off to their allocated tee for a Shotgun Start. Helen, our County Captain got the Competition on the way by pressing the claxton at 0900.

We were very lucky in that, following-on shortly after the 3rd heatwave of the Summer, we had a day of cool weather.

The half-way hut was set-up with sweet treats baked by some of the Denham GC Ladies and delicious home-made lemonade courtesy of the Denham GC chef. Chat and photos continued at the half-way Hut.

After the game, we enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch which was followed by speeches and prizes – the winners are listed below.

Thank you to Denham Golf Club for hosting the Captain’s Summer Meeting – the Course was in great condition, considering the previous weeks of arid weather and everyone commented on the delicious food. Thank you also to Gill Redman and Sarah McDonald who arranged the flowers and table decorations.

Lastly, thank you to all the ladies that supported the Captain’s Summer Meeting which was Helen’s last event as County Captain. After the prize giving, Helen retired her Captaincy and Lois Shoosmith (Ellesborough GC) was graciously appointed the Captain of Bucks County Ladies Golf Association.
